Ninth-grade Intensive Reading
First grade of the semester: Turn in signed form saying that you have read and understand my syllabus (counts as a participation grade) Second grade of the semester: Finish VIS sheet (counts as a vocab grade)
Third grade of the semester: Vocabulary quiz (counts as a vocab grade)
Homework: Check out an AR book -- one that is fiction and at least 150 pages -- and begin reading. You will be required to pass two AR tests by the end of the semester. If the book is not on your reading level (or above) you will not receive credit for any AR tests you may pass. You will also receive a grade for bringing your AR book to class.

What did we do today? We completed VIS sheets on the words from Chapter 1 of the novel "Killing Mr. Griffin."
